“I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.”
– Albert Einstein
We’re all born with some luck in our corner, but what we do with it is up to us.
I was lucky to begin my life in one of the most beautiful corners of the US, the Pacific Northwest. And I was lucky enough to be able to migrate to some of the most picturesque places in the world. The Rocky Mountains and American Southwest. Two environments with no shortage of creative inspiration.
My job as a writer gives me the flexibility to disappear into the wilderness for days at a time, to explore and photograph the natural world. I’m fortunate to have a patient and helpful husband; willing to assist when I need more than two hands.
I don’t call myself an artist. I’ve no formal training. But from the moment I flipped the "on" switch of that first camera my life was never the same.
I may be dodging crowds in national parks, climbing rugged mountain ranges, or traversing barren terrain. Every adventure is an opportunity to bring back stories captured in single moments. Waiting to take you, the observer, directly to that place in time.
I hope you enjoy the scenery as much as I do.
